Viaccordis is a practice that accepts only self-paying patients.Self-pay psychotherapy means that patients bear the costs themselves and the billing is done directly with the practice.Many choose this model to begin treatment more quickly and avoid long waiting times. It also offers greater flexibility in scheduling appointments and allows patients to freely choose their therapist. Another advantage is greater discretion, as no diagnosis is documented with the health insurance company.Private health insurance companies and private supplemental insurance plans reimburse my services in full or in part, depending on the terms of your policy. Please check with your insurance company beforehand to determine if and to what extent the costs will be covered.Under certain conditions, the costs for psychotherapeutic treatments in my practice can be claimed as extraordinary expenses for tax purposes.

You can calmly describe what is troubling you, what you wish for, and any questions you may have.Together, we'll discuss whether my services are a good fit for your needs and what the next steps should be. This includes determining whether psychotherapy, psychological counseling, coaching, or another form of support is more appropriate. If medical or psychiatric evaluations seem advisable, I will incorporate this recommendation into our further planning.At the end of the initial consultation, you will receive an assessment of what a possible collaboration could look like and can then decide at your leisure whether you would like to pursue this path with me.

In the following sessions, we will deepen our understanding of your symptoms and stressors. Together, we will examine which thought, feeling, and behavior patterns are maintaining your current situation and what changes you would like to achieve.Based on this, we agree on shared work goals and discuss the expected timeframe for our collaboration. The duration can vary depending on the issue – sometimes a few sessions are sufficient, while in other cases longer-term support is advisable.The actual work takes place in regular sessions. I primarily use methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We develop concrete steps to cope more effectively with distressing thoughts, feelings, and situations, and to build new coping mechanisms in your daily life. What we work on in the sessions can gradually be tested and reinforced in everyday life.

We will also look at what steps are advisable for the period after treatment – for example, how you can prevent relapses or access support again later if needed.

Location of the practice and parking facilities

My practice is centrally located in Friedberg and is easily accessible from the entire Rhine-Main area by public transport and car.​Unfortunately, parking in Neutorgasse is only available for residents. Public and inexpensive parking options are available in Friedberg on Kaiserstrasse (approx. 5-minute walk), or in the "City Parkhaus" at Alte Bahnhofstr. 6, 61169 Friedberg. The walk from the City Parkhaus to my practice takes approximately 7 minutes.
