Employee Assistance Program

Psychological
and
psychosocial employee counselling

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, external counseling service financed by the employer. It provides employees and managers with quick, professional help without the need for months of waiting.
Stress, whether from work or private life, significantly impairs employees' well-being and work performance. Whether the issue is mental health, team or relationship conflicts, parenting questions, addiction, financial worries, or legal uncertainties, Viaccordis's EAP offers a safe, confidential space for addressing all concerns. For companies, EAPs are an important part of occupational healthcare, leading to increased productivity, employee satisfaction, and reduced staff turnover and absenteeism. EAP counseling prevents work and personal problems from escalating to the point of illness and absenteeism. In over 80% of cases, qualified external counseling significantly improves employees' situations. Of course, an EAP can also advise managers and company owners.
EAPs were originally developed in the United States and have been established internationally for decades. Their effectiveness has been scientifically proven; EAPs significantly reduce absenteeism and increase employee satisfaction and loyalty. However, this potential often remains untapped, especially for small and medium-sized companies. This is why my employee counseling is flexible. There are no package commitments or high base fees, and appointments are offered on an individual basis.
Consultations can take place at my practice in Friedberg, over the phone, online, or on-site at your company. The content of the consultations is strictly confidential. If necessary, I will refer you to specialized therapeutic or medical professionals. In acute situations, I can be reached via an emergency hotline at short notice — even on weekends, if necessary.
In addition, I carry out the legally required psychological risk assessments (GB-Psych according to §5 ArbSchG) in order to identify risks within the company and develop solution strategies together with the owners.
Absences due to psychological stress
The number of sick days due to mental stress and illness is increasing rapidly; in Germany, an above-average increase of 48% was recorded between 2012 and 2022.
Waiting times for psychological support are very long; an EAP can close this gap in care for employees.
